EdgeRank and Reach of your Facebook Page Post!

Facebook announced the four main factors it uses to determine the reach each Page post gets.  Reach refers to the number of your fans, who see each of your posts in their News Feed.

The 4 Factors:
  • Your fans interaction with your Page's post:  If your fans Like the post by your Page, they'd see more from the page.
  • People's reactions to a post:  If most of the people who've seen the post interacts with the content, the more of the posts they'll be seing.
  • Interaction with posts of the same type in the past: If a fan always Like photos, there's a better chance he/she'll see a photo posted on your Page.
  • Complaints: If a specific post has received complaints by other users who've seen it, or the Page that posted it has received lots complaints in the past, you'll be less likely to show up the post, to your fans.

Facebook often makes changes to its News Feed algorithm EdgeRank to  improve it.

To have better exposure, inspire your fans to do the following things.

Add to Interest Lists:

Ask your fans to click on the gear located on the right hand side, under the cover image, an then click on "Add to Interests List". And choose a title for the Interest list if he/she's creating a new one, otherwise add it to his existing Interest List.

Get Notifications:

There's an option to receive a notification for your fans, whenever you post a content on your Page.  This one can be opted by the fans by clicking "Liked" button and click on "Get Notifications".

These simple steps would improve much of your Reach and Edgerank.
